A 31-year-old commander of a Ukrainian FPV drone unit needed three amputations, lost his vision, and suffered severe burns after a Russian drone exploded right next to him last October.
His wife, a 23-year-old drone pilot, has been by his side throughout, telling ABC News’ Ian Pannell, “You don’t leave someone you love in a hard situation.”
